Bio:

Roser Martínez Quirante earned a Ph.D from the University of Barcelona (UAB), and has been Professor of Administrative Law since 2002. She has been the Academic Secretary of the Department of Public Law and from 2010 and she is the Third Cycle Coordinator of the Department of Public Law and Historical–Juridical sciences of the Faculty of Law of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She is also Professor of the School of Prevention and Integral Security of the UAB from its foundation in 2004 to the present day and has taught in different subjects, among which are the Law of Security, Intervention and Self-regulation, and Regulation of Weapons of fire in the USA and in Europe.

She has been Coordinator at the UAB of the European Commission Research Group (FP7 Program) on Prevention and Security (SEP-210083049, ERC-2013-SyG) And she has been the Coordinator of the EPSI-University Research Group at Massachussetts Lowell (UMAAS) Lowell for the development of teaching and research activities on security.

She has taken part in a Commission of the Spanish Senate, for the exposition of the legislative panorama of arms and violence in Europe and the United States for a future regulatory reform in Spain.
